Ladies, if you’re looking to dig deeper and learn more about how you can break through in those areas that you are feeling stuck in life – whether personal, professional, or otherwise – then this retreat is for you.
Over three days, in a small group format, we will explore what’s keeping you stuck and how to blast through those barriers so that you can take the next step to living a life of even more purpose and passion.
We’ll step away from the concrete jungle of life and spend two nights and three days nestled in a beautifully renovated 1890 rustic log home, along the South Nation River countryside. Surrounded by nature, and away from the distractions of everyday life, you’ll have the opportunity to close your eyes, take a deep breath of fresh country air, and exhale what’s been keeping you from moving forward in life.
Through light movement and personal reflection (which may require some tissues!) to personal breakthroughs and aha moments that guide you to dig deeper, you’ll move from a place of repeating old patterns and feeling stuck, to being flung into the freedom to transform your life, so that you can be all you are called to be right here, right now!
Sometimes, to move forward, we need to look back. We need to acknowledge the things that may be holding us back from becoming all that we are called to be. We may need to let go of bad habits, remove barriers, or establish boundaries, and challenge our mindsets and ways of thinking and living that no longer serve us. We need to get clear on who we are, including our values and beliefs.
As we journey through these reflections, there may be opportunities to grieve, to heal, and to celebrate the breakthroughs. We will embrace the sometimes-bitter sweetness that comes with letting go and being set free (kind of like when we take a shot of Tequila)!*
*The Tequila is symbolic of what we might feel and experience during the retreat.
As you exhale the past and inhale the future, you’ll open your mind, body and spirit to a place of transformation, becoming clear about who you are called to be, and what’s next for you in life. You’ll take part in a uniquely crafted experience where you will fling into freedom and create a lasting memory of your breakthrough journey.
While there is no mistaking that there will be some work to be done during our time together, I promise you that there will also be ample time to rest, reflect and replenish.
In fact, we know that this type of digging deep can often mean that we hold our stress, anxiety, and tension in our bodies.
This is why we have designed each session to begin and end with guided movement and stretching, facilitated by Wellness Strategist and Essentrics© Classical Stretch Instructor, Virginia Dawson, from Sustainable Wellness NOW!
The Essentrics techniques Virginia will teach participants draws on the flowing movements of Tai Chi, which create health and balance, the strengthening theories behind ballet, which create long, lean, flexible muscles, and the healing principles of physiotherapy, which create a pain-free body. By integrating these movements throughout the weekend, you will leave the retreat feeling rebalanced and even more open to what is next for you!
In addition, each session will also include built in time for personal reflection, where participants can process, reflect, and/or journal about what they are experiencing and the insights that are being revealed to them.
This can be done at any of the many nooks within the retreat venue such as in the great room in front of the stone fireplace, on the covered patio overlooking the South Nation River, from within a hammock nestled between the trees along the river, or on a strategically placed lounger or Adirondack chair around the property where you can bask in the sun or engage with the animals.
The venue also includes access to the nearby walking trails of the Larose Forest, access to a canoe and kayak, and you can wrap up your day with some time in the Spa area which includes a massage chair and indoor sauna, or in the outdoor hot tub, while watching the sun rise or set.
In addition to the transformative experience that you will be guided through with your facilitators Julie ‘Jewels’ Caldwell and Virginia Dawson over the three days (valued at over $4500), your registration fee includes your accommodations for two nights and three days, based on double occupancy (valued at $458) at the Casselodge B>B located on the outskirts of Casselman, Ontario, off highway 417, just 30 minutes east of downtown Ottawa.
